// Since February is the month of love (if you don’t agree, I dare you to take a look at my instagram feed because it’s 100% full of hearts), I decided that leading up to Valentines day I will be featuring different things that I personally love. So, here goes my first “I Love You, [fill in blank]” post. I hope you find it only a little cheesy!//

Beginning the day I passed my drivers test, I have been falling head-over-heels in love with the city of Ann Arbor. After school, all I wanted to do was drive 30 mins outside of my little town and explore. So, it is no surprise that four years later I have found myself living in said city. And you guessed it, I love it here. This week, like every week, reminded me why she is so awesome and why I am so lucky.

On Monday, I received a text bright and early saying “GUESS WHAT?!” Come to find out, my friend had won tickets to see a screening of a film at the Michigan Theater. The Michigan Theater is one of only ten theater’s in the country that gets to show a film from Sundance the week before…and it’s in Ann Arbor AND the tickets were for “The East”, a film first screened at Sundance this year! AHH! Most people know I dream of going to Sundance one year, but this was totally the next best thing. Less crowds, less expensive, less travel time, great company, and so much fun! The simple fact that Ann Arbor is one of only ten cities that got to do this, makes me love her. The fact that I got to go, for free, makes me love her even more. OH, and I love you Liz, for choosing me to go with you!

// See those crepes? I heard from the grapevine that today was national crepe day. NOW, I have no clue who declares days like this or if it even is, but everything you read on the internet is true. Right? HA. Anyway, I didn’t order crepes and Maddy did so basically I was super lame and Maddy was super awesome. In my defense, I didn’t know until after.

// I was super lame (AGAIN) and didn’t take any pictures worth posting. Maddy on the other hand was super awesome (AGAIN) and did take pictures. These are her pictures. She is a pretty cool person to follow on instagram, @madeleineo

In Ann Arbor, you can brunch like there is no tomorrow. In case you didn’t know, brunch is a verb meaning ‘the act of eating brunch with someone really awesome.’ My ALL TIME FAVORITE PLACE to brunch is Cafe Zola (a close second is Zingerman’s, followed by Sava’s). Luckily for me, Cafe Zola is also my really good friend Maddy’s favorite place to brunch. And luckily for me again, it is in Ann Arbor. We had a really good meal there this morning and then after we stopped in at an adorable card store on Main St. Any morning where I go to two of my favorite places, with one of my favorite people, in my favorite small city, is a good day.

I LOVE YOU, ANN ARBOR for your beautiful theater, delicious brunching spots, cute stores, and all you character.
